I lock the reaper in place with the stasis rifle, hop into the seamoth, arm and shoot a torpedo, exit the seamoth and lock him back up with the stasis rifle. I can confirm that you can kill a full adult reaper with 12 torpedoes. Iin my umpteenth playthrough, I decided to play with Gasopod torpedoes! My typical death dealing apparatus is a stasis rifle and a thermoblade, but I decided to mix it up. Standard speed is more than enough to get away from any predator.I have made it somewhat of a hobby of mine to kill Leviathans (reapers + leviathans). The top speed setting makes your sub overheat real quick, so use sparingly, it also increases your aggro range, so really, I don't see much use for it.Not sure what happens if you enter the sub during the lunge phase. If you get outside, they will aggro you if in range.Crabsquids are also very pissed at lights, so turning off your exterior lights is recommended.Contrary to logic and popular belief, honking the horn does not aggro passive enemies, neither does using the sonar. You have a good 5 seconds before another attack comes. The timing is about the same as decoys, turn it on just before the attack, turn it off as soon as the enemy repositions. The shield consumes a lot of energy, but you don't keep to keep it on. This will make the next aggro phase focus on the decoy instead of you, if you got far enough. The best time to launch them is when the enemy is in the lunge stage. Decoys are best used when running away. IMPORTANT NOTE: Stopping the engine does not automatically make them passive, if they are already aggro'ed, they'll end their cycle first.
